Pattern and Patina: workshops

On 22 April Helen will be running some workshops (for adults of all abilities), with the emphasis on making. In these workshops we shall start by looking at the rich pattern and ornament in St George’s and then go on to freely develop our own exciting  ornamental motifs in response. We shall assume there is no ‘correct’ approach – just your own ways of seeing.
Some materials such as charcoal, basic paint and paper will be supplied but please bring your own scissors. You may also  wish to bring your own sketchbooks and drawing implements if you have them.

There are two separate sessions: 11 – 1 pm and 2.30 – 4.30. The workshops are FREE but booking is essential. please phone: 01372 467720 or email:

With many thanks to the R C Sherriff Trust for its support of the residency which allow these workshops to be free of charge.
